GUEST REVIEW: Nisim Deep Cleansing Shampoo

Here we have another of our Guest Review spots from Mellow Mummy's writer, Jumbly Mummy, who has been testing Nisim New Hair Biofactors Shampoo, designed to control hair loss in both men and women, and also known to help clear up baby's cradle cap.

Here's what she thought.....

Having stopped breastfeeding a month ago, all of my fingernails have broken and my hair has started to thin. Damn, I've lost my hormonal mummy-glow. Afraid of losing the best of my long locks, I have been using Nisim Deep Cleansing Shampoo.

The shampoo is made from largely herbal ingredients which means, unlike most medicinal shampoos, it doesn't smell, well, how do I put it?.. medicinal! The shampoo smells floral and feels great on my hair as I am washing it; not heavy, not oily and certainly not abrasive or astringent in any way. Its natural ingredients mean that it is mild enough that I can use it on my 8-month-old's hair as well: they particularly recommend it for use on cradle cap.

Nisim shampoos are designed to help remove the oil and sweat from the scalp that contribute to the chemical build-up responsible for hair loss in both men and women. Their research on the effects of the shampoo on balding males is impressive, but as a post-pregnancy mum my interest is in controlling hair loss as a result of hormonal imbalance. After using the shampoo each day for a week, my hair felt astonishingly clean, right down to the root. My locks felt healthy and light - I'd definitely use the product again, if only to reproduce that feeling.

Its hard to tell whether the Nisim Deep Cleansing Shampoo has helped my hair combat the hormonal changes I'm currently experiencing, or to measure its effect on my minimal hair loss. I would say though, that having used it, my confidence has improved and I feel re-assured that my hair won't fall out in chunks!

Nisim Deep Cleansing Shampoo comes in two formulae – normal/dry hair and normal/oily hair. There is also a range of complimentary conditioners. Nisim hair products can be bought online in the UK from http://www.body4real.co.uk .
