Guest reviewer Mellow Mummy may not be so mellow when it comes to managing a teething, weaning baby! She has been testing out the bright and fun range from Funky Giraffe Bibs to see if she can regain her mellowness!
Holly is nearly 6 months old. She already has two teeth and has been weaning for a few weeks. Bibs is what we do right now. Lots and loots of bibs so we were really excited to get the chance to try out a number of the gorgeous bandana bibs from Funky Giraffe.
Funky Giraffe Bibs are nice and thick (great for protecting clothing from dribble and spills). They have soft cotton designs at the front and soft fleece on the back. I loved the fact that the bibs had two different size settings (they fasten with a press stud) because it means that they will last for many months as Holly grows older.
We loved this groovy penguin design and the brightly coloured strawberry print that we were sent but I will admit that Holly looks perfect in the light pink stripes. She now even has a matching hat to really make her look the part! The soft bibs can be worn quite high on the neck because they won't irritate the neck which means that food is unlikely to get down inside the bib... genius.
The range of designs that Funky Giraffe sell is really very impressive and they have some very fun christmas designs in store! There are prints to suit all tastes for girls and boys. I love the fact that some of the prints are available in all of the different products that Funky Giraffe sell - bests and bodysuits, hats and burp cloths (shoulder pads).
Our bibs washed well over the weekend - the light colours mean these bibs are probably best suited to teething duties rather than mucky weaning duties though. I dried them on the line indoors and they didn't lose any of their softness... phew.
But, the thing I think I like best about the bibs from Funky Giraffe is the price. Bandana bibs, being a very trendy thing right now, can be incredibly expensive for what they are but the Funky Giraffe bibs, well, these cost very little at all. If you buy one bib on its own they are about £4 but the more you buy, the lower the price. Currently you can buy 5 bibs for £11 - to me that is really good value.
