Honey Monster Stix Cereal Bars

Having recovered from the shock of discovering that her 4 year old daughter didn't know who the Honey Monster was, guest reviewer Mellow Mummy has been trying out the new Honey Monster Stix Cereal Bars.

I have only been making lunchboxes and dealing with after-school snacks for a matter of weeks and yet I am already clutching at any ideas of anything that can come my way to inspire snack times for my girls.  Honey Monster Stix are new cereal bars available in Honeycomb and Milk Chocolate flavour and Marshmallow and Vanilla Yoghurt flavours.

I would have loved to have shown you some photos of the girls eating theirs but very honestly, they just disappeared so quickly.  This is brilliant because it means I have found a sweet treat that both of my girls enjoy (a rare occurrence) but a little frustrating because it shows that the Stix bars are quite small (15g each) and even my toddler doesn't seem satisfied after just one.

Each pack contains 7 bars and the packs didn't last long in our house.  This may have something to do with the fact that both myself and my husband fell in love with the Marshmallow and Vanilla Yoghurt Stix and kept going back for more.  These bars are packed full of mini marshmallows and sprinkled with sweet white yoghurt-ness.  The crispy rice and cereals underneath help to balance the sweetness a little.

I didn't enjoy the Milk Chocolate and Honeycomb bars as much because I found the honeycomb pieces to stick in my teeth - it didn't seem to put my 4 year old off though!
