As part of our time reviewing the range of services from Talk Talk, our next Family Challenge was to try out on demand paid for TV. We decided to watch the film Epic together. Firstly, here's Mini of Mini Moments and The Lazy Girl blog with her thoughts:
From an ease of use point of view, the service is pretty simple even for me- I've never actually used paid for box office on a TV before (having previously been a cheapskate who had Freesat!).
It's pretty secure too, meaning tech savvy youngsters like Littlest can't accidentally buy lots of films and services. You first have to click on it and confirm that you wish to watch, but then you also have to put in a pin too. So unless you are daft enough to give it to your child you're pretty safe.
It cost us £3.69 for the standard version of the film, but you can also choose HD should you want to for a small amount more. We could then watch the film twice over 48 hours.
The film was good, lots of adult friendly jokes which kids wouldn't get or be offended by, and lots of laughs for the littlies too. As mentioned, some bits did scare Mini slightly, but there was no major violence just a little minor peril that made our 6 year grasp the edge of her seat.
Altogether an enjoyable experience and cheaper and easier than trekking to the hire shop or cinema.
